Who Qualifies for Hospice Care?

Hospice care is available when the following criteria are met:

  • A physician certifies a life-limiting illness with a prognosis of six months or less
  • The patient or family chooses comfort-focused care over curative treatment
  • The patient has Medicare Part A, Medicaid, or qualifying private insurance
  • Care can be provided wherever the patient calls home

Not sure if your loved one qualifies? Call us at (732) 955-6648 — our team is happy to answer your questions and guide you through the process.

Insurance & Payment

Spero Hospice accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans. Medicare Part A covers hospice services with no out-of-pocket costs for eligible patients. Our team will verify your benefits before care begins.
